Plus Fifty

Just thought I'd keep you all updated on Kobe's scoring frenzy. Last night he scored 50 to extend his streak to four games. Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to have accomplished this. That is incredible. And with the fourth 50+ game came another Lakers win. The Lakers next game is tomorrow, and if it happens again, I will be sure to write about it again.

Oregon also plays tomorrow. They have made it to the Elite Eight. Let's hope they beat Florida and make it to the Final Four. While I would much rather it be Oregon State playing this well, I'm just glad I can cheer on an Oregon team during the tournament. Have a great day everyone. much love

65, 50, 60

Those are the amounts Kobe Bryant has scored in his last 3 games. Only 3 other players in NBA history have ever scored 50 (or more) points 3 games in a row: Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, and Michael Jordan. That's good company. The best part about Kobe's scoring spree is that it has earned the Lakers 3 much needed wins.

On another basketball note, the NCAA tournament is incredible. I've never watched much college basketball, but I'm loving it. It's good stuff. It makes me sad that I'm just now getting into it. As much as I love the Lakers, college games are way more exciting (except maybe when you're watching Kobe set records). Anywho, my bracket's looking descent and I'm having a good time watching the games. If you haven't watched and, I suggest that you start. Have a great day everyone. much love

Catching Up: Part One: Spring Break

It's been a while since our last blog. Sorry about that. We really have no good excuse. I know the title says part one, but that does not mean I am promising a part two. I wrote that in case I wanted to add a part two. Anywho, spring break (March 5-9) is really the only exciting thing that has happened since we last posted. Jeff's sister came and visited us which was a good time. It was probably the coldest week we've had this winter. That wasn't such a good time. She got here Monday night. Tuesday we went to Prince Edward Island. There is nothing to do there in the winter but we wanted to go since none of us had ever been there. We did some shopping in Charlottetown, drove to the north shore, then came back and ate in Chartottetown. On Wednesday we went to Fundy. It was neat to see the frozen ocean. We had a bit of an adventure on the way home, but I will save that for another post or you can ask and we might just tell. We spent Thursday around campus, and drove Laura to the airport in Halifax on Friday morning. After dropping Laura off, Jeff and I went into Halifax. We ate some Quiznos, checked out a few stores, and then played miniature golf. This was some of the neatest miniature golf I've ever played because it was all under black lights. That was our spring break. Enjoy the pictures. much love becky
