When Water Was Water

I miss Oregon. Oregon had water. Oregon did not have soft water or hard water. Oregon just had water. Water was water. Now, I know there are other places where this phenomenon is found to be true, but Minnesota is not one of those places. I never knew taking a shower could make you feel slimy until I lived in Minnesota. Just as I was becoming used to this craziness, I moved from Minnesota. I did not even realize that water was water in Sussex, until I moved back here, to Minnesota. Why am I writing this blog? I really have no clue. This whole water ordeal has just made me miss one of the many great aspects of Oregon, and has given me a new appreciation for Sussex. Anywho, here are some pictures I took today around the house. Although water in not water here, it is a beautiful place to live. much love becky

A Day in Beltrami

The other day Jeff and I went to Beltrami State Forrest for a few hours. We drove around trying to find a place to fish. We stopped a few times to fish, but mostly we just drove around. It was a beautiful day to be out, but the bugs sucked. I hate mosquitos. Anywho, here's a few pictures from our day. much love becky

Catchin' Up

So we've pretty much been slackers when it somes to this here blog since we left Canada. Oklahoma was a good time. We had a lot of fun with family and friends. Austin/The Farm was also a good time. Jeff was happy to be back in a tractor. We had a lot of fun with the Voigts. Spending time with Jeff's family in Morris was also a good time. What can I say? We just seem to have a good time wherever we go. We've been in Warroad since Tuesday evening. As much as I enjoy traveling, it's nice to be done with it for a while. I started work at Subway on Thursday and have worked everyday since...that's a whole 3 days ;) I already miss school. Sitting in class and writing papers is much better then spending 8 hours at Subway, but watcha gonna do? Jeff starts work at Marvin's next Monday. He's been spending his time hanging out with my dad, taking naps, going fishing, and visiting me at work. That's about it for now. For all you moms who might be reading this, happy Mother's Day. I will hopefully get some pictures and more posts up soon. Have a great day. much love becky

Just a Quicky

We have been crazy busy since our last post. We packed up our apartment, gave away furniture, wrote exams (or, in English...we had finals), drove over 2000 miles, and visited with many people in Oklahoma. We are leaving here on Thursday to go to Austin where we will spend a few days. Then it's up to see Jeff's g'rents. Then we head to Warroad for the summer. It's so nice to be back in the US. I'm looking forward to seeing my parents and puppies. Sorry so short, but I've gotta go make some salsa. We'll post pictures and update a whole lot more when we get settled in Warroad. Hope you all have a great day. much love becky

Our Life in Numbers

1500
How much scholarship money we received between the two of us last night. We are very excited about this. That's a few months rent right there.

10
Days until we leave for the summer. We are so anxious to be back in the States and see everyone.

3
First word of a sweet band I saw in concert the other night (3 Season Ant). They put on a show at BBC so we ended youth early and took the high school youth group to it.

2
Bedrooms in our apartment next year. Yes, we got into the townhouses. It will be so nice to be on campus next year.

Also the number of majors I now have. That's right, I added a global major to my youth major. God's really been opening my eyes to the endless opportunities of youth ministry overseas. We will now be spening our 6 month internship somewhere overseas. We're very excited to se what God has in store for us.

1
More year in Canada. Because of my double major, I will have to be in school at least one more semester--probably two though.

That's what's been going on here. much love becky
